Soya Champ is my personal favorite. It’s prepared from soy lentils and gives you the amazing taste of meat. Eat Soya Champ with Rumali Roti and it will surely give you the feeling of eating Chicken or meat. It gives the same chewy taste just like any Non-vegetarian dishes. And the best part is that its cholesterol free and way cheaper than Non-vegetarian items.
5. Beans and Legumes
Beans and Legumes are the perfect alternative of Non-vegetarian dishes. There are so varieties like kidney beans, black-eyed peas, aduki beans, Chickpeas and many more. It’s the best alternative for the soups, stews and flavors. Beans and legumes can also be used as like Indian sabzi with the flavor of Non-vegetarian dish.
For me, it’s still a Non-vegetarian item as it has no difference with the meat. It tastes so original and yummy that one can’t this out. Eggplant Burger and Pakora’s can be great alternative to the Non-vegetarian counterparts. Even Baingan (Eggplant) Kachri tastes like that you are eating roasted chicken.
Seitan is also called as Wheat gluten and wheat meat. Seitan commonly used as the substitute of the meat as it looks same when it’s cooked. It’s a great food item for the ones who are in search of substitute to the Non-vegetarian items. One can make great snacks from Seitan and best part is that it’s very easy to prepare at home.
