1. Mohanthal

Mohanthal is very famous sweet of Gujarati cuisine which is usually prepared on every special occasion. Its gram flour fudge which tastes so delicious with the flavor of cinnamon and trust me, you can’t resist yourself from eating more and more. If you never tried Mohanthal, then must try this delicious sweet.

2. Ghughra

This Half-moon shaped sweet is so special and is the favorite of every Gujarati. Ghughra is mostly prepared during festivals and special occasions. It’s a deep fried dish which can be baked too, especially for the health Conscious people. The stuffing of this delectable dish makes it more special, just try it once.

3. Shrikhand

Shrikhand is the traditional dish of Gujarati and Maharashtrian Cuisine. It’s prepared with strained yogurt and while serving, it’s garnished with cardamom, saffron and diced fruits. Shrikhand tastes so delicious and authentic that you just want to eat this over again and again. Shrikhand mixed with dry fruits tastes more delectable.

4. Dudhpak

Dudhpak is highly rich with rice, milk, saffron and dry fruits. It’s basically a thick semi-gravy rice pudding. It tastes so yummy that if you eat this every day, still the taste buds want it more. Malpua’s are ruling all over the country. Either go to North or to west, Malpua’s are loved by everyone. Malpua’s are made with the mixture of flour, mashed banana, milk and sugar and later, it’s fried in the ghee, dipped in the Sugar syrup which makes it the finest sweet to Malpua. Eat the combination of Malpua’s and Rabri and you will surely become ‘Fan’ of it.

6. Basundi

Basundi is also semi-liquid dessert like Dudhpak, but its taste is purely different. It’s prepared with thickened milk, sugar, pistachios, saffron and almonds. Basundi is quite similar to the North Indian dessert Rabdi. Basundi is my personal favorite. Either eats it after or before your meal, I’m damn sure that you will not give your Basundi to anyone else.

7. Ghari

Ghari is a very popular sweet of cuisine of Gujarat, very popular in the Surat. Ghari’s are maida puris stuffed with mawa and nuts. It’s mostly prepared during festivals like Chandani Padva or Diwali. Its can be made with different flavors like pistachios, mawa, almonds and elachi. Trust me Ghari is so Mouth-watering and luscious sweet that you just can’t miss this out.
